We all eat from the same bowl.

Dear Ones, we inter-are. Below are ways to manifest our interdependence through giving to Cloud Cottage. Book a raft trip with French Broad Rafting, and Cloud Cottage will receive a donation. (See button below.)

The Sanskrit word for generosity is Dana, denoting "perfection of giving." Yet the word "giving" does not fully describe dana. It is a state of reciprocity no less important than breathing in and breathing out.

In the ancient tradition of spiritual friendship, dana embodies our interbeing, the voluntary exchange of material, energy and wisdom. Dana is at once the importance of the spiritual relationship and a barometer of our love and devotion to one another.

In exchange for the teachings, friends give what they are able -- service to the Sangha, diligence in our practice, money contributions and love which extends to all beings. Philip and Judith and the Sangha freely give the teachings at Cloud Cottage, maintaining the Dharma Hall and garden. We suggest a $5 to $10 donation for services and a $30 donation for Dharma interviews, so that Cloud Cottage may meet its expenses. You will find Pledge Cards on the Welcome Table and an alms bowl near the door of the zendo and in the tea-room.
